About Us

Red Rose Track Club is for serious runners who don’t take themselves too seriously. Based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, members benefit from a highly knowledgeable running community and structured training while working toward new PRs on the track, road, or trail—and have plenty of fun along the way. Since 2008, our club has welcomed and celebrated runners bound by a common thread: Pushing beyond what we know is possible and chasing our next PR. As a group of friends and training partners drawn together by passion, fun, and finding joy in the journey, RRTC embodies the community spirit of running in Central PA.

We meet Tuesdays at the Franklin & Marshall College outdoor track for 7AM and 6PM group track workouts. Runners are expected to complete a warm-up routine and be ready to start the workout promptly at 7AM or 6PM. Workout ideas are shared ahead of time via email and/or group chat to club members. Cool down, club announcements, and general socializing usually follow workouts. We also hold a weekly Saturday morning group run of ~10 miles starting from the F&M outdoor track at 7AM. The Saturday runs typically have two pace groups: 8:00-8:30 min per mile and 8:30+ min per mile.

Members are encouraged to train year-round and to compete on road, track, and/or trail, focusing primarily on distances from 1 mile to the marathon (and beyond)! Each year, our runners toe the line in many local and regional races throughout the US Mid-Atlantic region. Several have also competed at World Marathon Majors, as well as many of the iconic road races throughout the United States.

This club seeks to promote and practice the physical, mental, and social benefits of running and training. We believe in supporting one another, reaching our running goals, developing meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact in Lancaster City and the greater Lancaster County community.

Originally established in 2008, we operated as F and M Track Club (FMTC) until 2025—and have since rebranded to Red Rose Track Club (RRTC). Read more about our origins and over a decade and a half of memories and community building as FMTC on our History page.

We invite you to learn more about our club and consider joining as a member!
